On Friday the 19 February 2016 a brave bunch of men took to the streets in Johannesburg, George, Nelspruit, Cape Town and Durban to raise awareness for men's cancer in South Africa. It takes balls to run through peak-hour traffic wearing nothing but a Speedo but these men did it in the annual Daredevil Run!
Cancer doesn’t choose age, colour or body shape. It impacts everyone – in fact, according to statistics one in six South African men are affected by it in their lifetimes.
Emthunzini Hats Supports Cancer Awareness and Prevention
As part of our support for cancer awareness and prevention we donated our Cancer Association of South Africa's endorsed sunhats to some of the runners. Ten hats were sent to each of the regions and the first 10 men to be tested at each event received an Emthunzini sunhat. Now they are sunsmart too!
Our sunhats carry the Cancer Association of South Africa's seal of recognition and offer UPF50+ protection against the harmful effects of the sun. Buy yours on our online shop or find your nearest stockist.
